What does it take to succeed in the entertainment business?
There is so much competition, and making a name for yourself is very hard work. Today’s guest was able to accomplish that with an interesting path to entertainment success… As a child actor, Brimstone made appearances on iconic pop culture shows such as Sesame Street and Romper Room. He later became best known for his career in professional wrestling where he has made countless appearances worldwide for the leaders in sports entertainment and throughout the Independents. Brimstone has had a long history appearing in various films, television programming, short films, documentaries, video game voice acting, and cameos in music videos. Notable nationally televised appearances include WWF Superstars, MTV’s TRL, 106 and Park and The Ricki Lake Show as well as countless appearances on national and local affiliates including NBC, CBS, ABC and The CW.

According to the Christian Alliance for orphans there are approximately 150 million orphans in the world today! In the US alone there are more than 111,000 children waiting to be adopted. Today on the show we will be talking about these issues and the challenges of adopting vulnerable children. My guest is Arthur C Woods.
Arthur and his wife had some painful experiences while waiting to adopt and he shares this story with us today on the My Story podcast. Arthur is a speaker, teacher and writer and loves speaking to parents, families and students. He currently serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate of Lancaster County, PA. and sits on the board of directors of Camp Orchard Hill - a youth camp in Dallas Pennsylvania. He is the author of Trusting The God of The Gospel, a video curriculum designed to help parents talk to their adopted and foster teenagers about God. Arthur and his wife, Elizabeth live in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania along with their adorable Siberian Husky, Jadis and their super cute cat, Epi.

Lou Hamilton is an artist, multi-award-winning filmmaker & podcaster. She makes abstract paintings, which aim to help create quiet, meditative spaces to live and work. On today's episode of the My Story Podcast Lou shares her story and thoughts about fearless living.
Lou regularly sells to collectors worldwide both privately & through the leading online gallery Saatchi art. Her work has been commissioned for site-specific projects, won prizes and been exhibited in both group and one-woman shows.
She studied at Byam Shaw School of Art & did her MA at Chelsea College of Art, graduating from both with Distinction. Painting transformed into conceptual work followed by welding scrap steel and wielding an early video camera. The TV/film industry & photography seduced her while she raised her kids until she finally returned to painting.
Lou founded Create Lab to use creativity to make a useful difference. She is the creator of the book of drawings “Brave New Girl” 2017 and illustrated self-coaching book FEAR LESS in 2018, both published by Orion Spring.
Lou paints every day, has a podcast guesting agency Silk Studios and is the host of Brave New Girl podcast.

Samantha (Sam) Horwitz is a 9/11 First Responder, former United States Secret Service Agent, speaker and author. On today's show she talks with Host, Conrad Weaver about the challenges she faced after the horrible events of 9/11.

With her B.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice, her J.D. from the Howard University School of Law, and experience as a Law Enforcement Officer, Sam has become an expert in handling stress and managing PTS. She has spoken nationally to Law Enforcement, Veteran, business, and faith-based communities on how to recognize and combat the effects of PTS, how to minimize the damage stress can cause in the workplace, and how to support those who have PTS.
Sam’s been featured in People Magazine, on ABC, CBS, Blaze TV with Glenn Beck and in other local and national media. She is the author of The Silent Fall: A Secret Service Agent’s Story of Tragedy and Triumph After 9/11. Sam serves on the board of Frontline Crisis Response Solutions, providing confidential support through wellness and resiliency for first responders and their families, and is the co-host of the award winning MAD (Making a Difference) Radio.
Sam is the recipient of the United States Secret Service Director’s Citation for Valor for her service on 9/11. Sam has also been honored with the Texas State Flag from the Texas House of Representatives in recognition of her service as a United States Secret Service Agent, and a Proclamation from the Texas Senate honoring her continued service to the citizens of the State of Texas.

A former White House staffer, he has worked with multiple non-profits and national recovery advocacy campaigns. He is now a prominent, leading face and voice of addiction recovery and is changing the national conversation about addiction.
With content that reaches over 1 million people a week, Ryan is breaking down cultural barriers that have kept people suffering in silence and is inspiring a new generation of people recovering out loud through his Voices Project.
